Earthworks team where constructing a crane pad in preparation for the installation of the pre-cast panels at retaining wall 10. A PCB barrier had been placed in front of the wall posts to fill against. The roller operator was told by the Project Engineer to remain at least 1m away from the edge of the barrier. During compaction, the roller has slid down into the uncompacted fill in front of the barrier becoming wedged at an acute angle.
